Death toll rises as another body is pulled from rubble after Russia's strike on Kyiv

Search and rescue operations are continuing in Kyiv following Russia's strike on the Ukrainian capital. Rescuers have recovered another body from the rubble in the city's Darnytskyi district, according to Kyiv's State Emergency Service.
"Another body has been recovered in the Darnytskyi district," the State Emergency Service said.
The death toll from Russia's attack has risen to 16.
Rescue workers continue searching for victims and clearing the debris of destroyed buildings after the strike on the capital.
Russia's July 6 attack on Kyiv
Overnight on July 6, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Ukraine using missiles and attack drones. The heaviest damage was reported in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and the town of Vyshneve.
In the capital, the Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts were hit hardest.
According to preliminary information, about 10 people may still be trapped under the rubble of a destroyed residential building in the Podilskyi district.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said an entire family was killed in the ballistic missile strike on Kyiv.
July 7 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv. Flags will be flown at half-staff across the city, and all entertainment events have been canceled.
