Russia strikes 22-story apartment building in Kyiv, injuring residents

In Kyiv this morning, a Shahed struck a high-rise building, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the Ukrainian Air Force.
"In the Darnytskyi district, a Russian drone struck a 16-story building," Klitschko says.
The mayor also notes that emergency services are heading to the scene. There is currently no information on any casualties.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Force reported a Russian attack by a jet-powered drone on Kyiv.
"Kyiv. A jet-powered drone is over the city! Take cover!" the Ukrainian Air Force urges.
Klitschko adds that Russia attacked a 24-story building.
"In the Darnytskyi district, the Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building on the 11th or 12th floor. There is a fire and damage to the walls on the 12th floor," the statement said.
Klitschko adds that four people were injured as a result of the Russian attack.
According to the National Police of Ukraine, six people were injured in the Russian attack, including a pregnant woman.

On the night of and morning of September 9, the Russians attacked six districts in the Kyiv region at once. In Bila Tserkva, a drone strike sparked a fire at a food processing plant.
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service fought the fire all night, and their efforts were complicated by repeated air raid alerts.
Meanwhile, Germany has agreed to urgently transfer PAC-2 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine from Bundeswehr warehouses.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced this during the Ramstein meeting, adding that Kyiv is expected to receive the missiles before the start of winter.
