Russia's overnight attack on Ukraine proves that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants war and mocks ceasefire proposals. Ukraine must urgently receive ammunition and air defense systems, or a crisis will begin, stated Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.

"The overnight Russian attack on Ukraine is yet another proof that Putin wants war. He mocks any ceasefire proposals. That's why Putinism must be stopped," the minister said.

Lipavský added that it is essential to strengthen the security of both Ukraine and Europe. He stressed the need for air defense systems, ammunition, and energy equipment to counter Russian terror.

"We must reinforce Ukrainian and European security. Deliver ammunition, air defense systems, and energy equipment to Ukraine before winter approaches. Otherwise, we risk a humanitarian crisis in Europe," he concluded.

Massive Russian attack on October 22: what is known

Russian forces struck Ukraine overnight and in the morning of October 22 with missiles and drones, heavily targeting Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. In Kyiv, more than 20 people were injured, while in Zaporizhzhia, a residential building was damaged, leaving over 15 people wounded.

In the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, four people were killed in the Russian strike, including two children. Two others were severely injured.

Following another act of Russian terrorism, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued an urgent statement to international partners. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Russian statements about diplomacy mean nothing as long as its leaders don't feel critical pressure.
