The Czech parliamentary delegation arrived in Kyiv on Saturday, November 25. In particular, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, and the President of the Czech Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, arrived, according to CTK.

"We need to supply more weapons, and I promise you that we will continue to do so," Pekarová Adamová said in her speech to Ukrainian parliamentarians.

According to her, today, as well as 90 years ago, Russia is trying not only to destroy Ukrainians but also to break the spirit of democratic countries in a protracted war, which it will not succeed in.

"You are heroes, you are people who are fighting not only for themselves but also for others," Vystrčil said.

Assistance to Ukraine from the Czech Republic

Earlier it was reported that the Czech Republic is ready to help Ukraine implement several points of the "peace formula" aimed at ending the war with Russia.

In late September, the Czech Ministry of Defense announced that Prague would grant Ukraine a license to manufacture assault rifles. The model in question is the CZ BREN 2.

In mid-October, the Czech Republic said that in the coming months, together with Denmark, it would supply Ukraine with armored personnel carriers, battle tanks, heavy weapons, and other equipment, both newly manufactured and from the warehouses of Czech private companies at the expense of the Danish government.

It should be added that the Czech Senate has recently extended the mandate for military training of Ukrainian soldiers until the end of 2024.
