Amusement park under attack
Military head Kiper says Russian forces deliberately launched missile strikes on residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region.
A Russian missile struck the amusement park, destroying fishermen's houses and damaging six passenger vehicles.
According to preliminary information, two people were killed. Four others, including a child, were injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, as people may still be trapped under the rubble.
Another settlement also came under Russian attack, where a residential building and two passenger vehicles were damaged. One man was injured.
Emergency and specialized services are working at all strike sites, while officials continue to assess the full extent of the damage.
Notably, Odesa has been under Russian attack throughout the day. Earlier on July 18, Russia launched a large-scale strike on the regional port infrastructure, targeting a foreign commercial vessel flying the flag of Antigua and Barbuda in the Black Sea.
Later in the day, a Russian drone crashed near a truck in the Odesa region, leaving the driver with shrapnel wounds.
