80 battles since the beginning of day: General Staff reports on current situation at front
Since the beginning of the day on September 30, there have been 80 battles on the front. The situation along the line of combat engagement remains tense, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
As reported by the General Staff, border settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions continue to suffer from artillery shelling from Russian territory.
Areas around the settlements of Stukalivka, Bobylivka, Vidrodzhene, Tymofiivka, Novodmytrivka, Malushyne, Svoboda, Obody, Brusky, and Velyka Pysarivka have been affected by artillery fire and rocket systems.
The aggressor has also carried out air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Studenok, Kucherivka, and Budivelne, using seven guided aerial bombs.
Russian forces are also bombarding the Kursk region. According to current information, there have been nine strikes across its territory with twelve guided aerial bombs.
Situation in the directions
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Burhuvatka, Staritsia, and Vovchansk seven times, with two clashes still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian warriors repelled five enemy attacks near Synkivka, Novoosynove, Hlushkivka, and Vyshneve, with two more clashes ongoing near Kruhlyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army carried out 14 attacks near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Dibrova, Serebryanka, Hryhorivka, and in the Serebryanske Forestry. Ten clashes have concluded, while four are still ongoing. The enemy used aviation in the Serebryanske Forestry area, dropping over 60 unguided aerial missiles.
The enemy conducted two offensive actions in the Siversk direction in the areas of Verkhniokamianske and Bilohorivka, and Ukrainian defenders repelled both attacks. The enemy also carried out an air strike in the Siversk area, using six aerial bombs.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders, supported by aviation, launched two assaults on our positions near Chasiv Yar. One battle has concluded, while another is still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, there were ten enemy attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Zalizne, Nelipivka, and Shcherbynivka. The aggressor launched an air strike on Kostiantynivka, using three aerial bombs.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, occupiers have made 13 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Novotoretske, Sukha Balka, Mykolaivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have repelled seven enemy attacks, with six clashes still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russia conducted eight unsuccessful attacks near Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka, and launched an air strike in the Shevchenkove area, using four guided aerial bombs.
In the Vremivka direction, our forces repelled six Russian assaults near Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, and Zolota Nyva. Russia carried out air strikes in the areas of Novodonetske, Tamariivka, Novodarivka, and Bohoyavlenka, dropping a total of 21 aerial bombs.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy launched one unsuccessful attack on our defenders' positions. At the same time, the enemy is conducting air strikes and artillery shelling on our troops and settlements. A total of 10 unguided aerial missiles and 7 aerial bombs were used in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Pyatykhatky, and Veselyanka.
Currently, no offensive actions by the enemy have been recorded in the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions.
Situation on the front and Russian losses
According to the General Staff, over the past day, September 29, there were 153 battles on the front. The hottest situation is in the Pokrovsk direction.
The total losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine are estimated at 653,060 soldiers.
In the last day, Russia lost 1,250 soldiers, 5 tanks, 27 armored fighting vehicles, 27 artillery systems, and other equipment on the front.
