The Lviv Regional Council's decision to declare 2027 the Year of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army has prompted Poland to suspend the transfer of a major military aid package to Ukraine, an informed source said.

According to the source, the Lviv Regional Council managed to hold the vote just as Poland was preparing to send Ukraine a major military aid package.

"Because of their irresponsible actions, the delivery of this package has now been suspended. Active efforts are underway through back channels to resolve a problem that was created out of nowhere," the source said.
