Russian drone attack on Poland

On the night of September 10, Russia for the first time sent attack drones into Polish territory. At least 19 drones entered the country. So far, fragments of Russian drones have been found in 11 Polish towns and villages.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called the Alliance’s response to the incident in Poland "very successful." He emphasized that the past night demonstrated NATO’s readiness to defend every centimeter of its territory, including its airspace.

The Russian Ministry of Defense responded to NATO statements by claiming that the drones that attacked Poland do not exceed 700 kilometers in range and that targets on Polish territory were not planned. The Kremlin refused to comment on the situation. However, research of the fragments revealed that the drones were equipped with additional fuel tanks.
