The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in a comment to RCB-Ukraine, confirmed a traffic accident involving a Ukrainian children’s ensemble on July 6. The bus driver lost control of the vehicle.

At the time of the accident, there were 77 people on the bus. This included two drivers, participants, and supervisors of the children's dance ensemble. They were traveling from Lviv to the city of Ohrid, North Macedonia, to attend a festival.

Preliminary data indicate the driver lost control and the bus veered into a ditch.

As a result of the accident, 21 people were injured. Among them, four suffered serious injuries. They are Ukrainian citizens born in 1954, 1958, 2007, and 2011.

Another four children received moderate injuries. They will be discharged under the responsibility of their supervisors.

The remaining victims with minor injuries were taken to the city of Kunszentmárton, where the main group is located. The carrier is taking measures to provide additional buses.

Diplomats and consuls from the Ukrainian Embassy, together with the Ambassador, are personally overseeing the situation at the scene.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported on a serious accident involving Ukrainians near Warsaw, Poland.

Another accident involving Ukrainians happened at the end of 2024 in Egypt. More than 40 people were injured in that incident.
