Ukraine is tracking all the Russian regime's attempts to undermine Ukraine's relations with its partners and sees who and where is involved by the Kremlin in these efforts. Appropriate countermeasures will be taken through intelligence channels, security services, and political means.

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russia tries to spoil cooperation between Ukraine and its partners. For this purpose, the Kremlin uses its "assets" in the West. Ukraine clearly sees this and prepares a response.

"We are recording all attempts by the Russians to 'undermine' our relations with our partners. We see which lobbyists Moscow is engaging, through whom it tries to act, and what internal operations it is attempting to launch in Ukraine and Europe. Our response will be tangible—through our security services, our intelligence, and through political cooperation among partners and sanctions," the President promised.

Anti-Ukrainian statements in Europe

A scandal has recently erupted over statements by the anti-Ukrainian speaker of the Czech parliament, Tomio Okamura. In his New Year's speech, Okamura referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his inner circle as a "junta."

This prompted a sharp response from Ukraine, an exchange of diplomatic summons, and the possibility that Okamura could be removed from office if enough votes are gathered in parliament. Ultimately, the Czech foreign minister had to stress during a visit to Kyiv that the diplomatic scandal had been resolved.

Another Russian "asset," Viktor Orbán, continues to make anti-Ukrainian and anti-European statements. Recently, Orbán urged citizens to support his Fidesz party, saying this is necessary to ensure that the country "does not get dragged into a war." Earlier, the Hungarian prime minister also suggested that the US could make peace with Russia in 2026, ignoring both Ukraine and Europe.

Earlier, Orbán issued another statement on the militarization of Europe and called for closer cooperation with Russia. He also became embroiled in a scandal after comparing EU leaders to Third Reich leader Adolf Hitler and French Emperor Napoleon—all while another controversy had yet to subside, after Orbán claimed it was "unclear who attacked whom" in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
