President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his visit to the US, toured the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant in Pennsylvania. The facility will increase the production of 155-mm artillery shells for Ukraine, according to Zelenskyy's Twitter (X).

"The factory produces artillery shells. 155 mm caliber. Right now, for our soldiers, who are defending not only our state, not only Ukraine. The factory will increase production," he wrote.

Zelenskyy noted that he started his visit to the US with gratitude to all the factory workers and agreements on expanding cooperation between Pennsylvania and our Zaporizhzhia.

According to the president, it is at such enterprises that one feels that the democratic world can truly prevail.

"Thanks to people like them in Ukraine, in America, and in all partner countries who work to ensure that life is protected," Zelenskyy stated in his post.

The head of the Ukrainian state also shared photos from his visit to the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant.

Zelenskyy's visit to the US

This week, the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the US began. The head of state previously stated that he would present his own victory plan for Ukraine during the visit, closely tied to military assistance from the US.

According to the president, this plan includes a series of decisions to be made by the end of this year. US President Joe Biden, along with presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, will be briefed on it.

Additionally, according to press reports, during the visit, Zelenskyy will push for Ukraine's invitation to NATO and commitments for ongoing arms supplies as part of his victory plan.
