The strike on the Tyumen oil refinery was performed using a new FP-2 drone model, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.

He said that Ukraine has begun the process of "bringing the war back to Russia."

"They strike us every day, and we will respond every day. Without a doubt, the intensity will increase with each passing day," the president noted.

Strike on Tyumen

Zelenskyy confirmed the strike on the oil refinery in Tyumen, located 2,070 km in a straight line from the border. According to him, the attack was implemented using new FP-2 drones produced by Fire Point. Their actual flight route exceeded 2,500 km.

New drones

"They will reach 3,000+ km. These are new drones. Very good drones," President Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that Ukraine knows the locations of Russian military factories, oil depots, and gas storage facilities. "We need to have tools with a greater range. And we do that," the head of state added.

Notable that Fire Point is a Ukrainian company producing a line of strike drones and cruise missiles. Its FP-5 Flamingo, with a range of 3,000 km and a one-ton warhead, has already been regularly striking targets inside Russia.

FP-2 is a smaller strike drone introduced in 2025 and now upgraded to a range of more than 3,000 km.

Earlier this week, Politico reported that Germany's Defense Ministry is considering Fire Point's products as an alternative to US-made Tomahawk missiles.
