"It is important to adhere to the Rome Statute and ensure that the court's arrest warrants for Russian war criminals are not ignored. We discussed this during the meeting with ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan," the President said.

"Thank you for supporting Ukraine!" Zelenskyy concluded.
Mongolia refused to arrest Putin
On September 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Mongolia at the invitation of the country's President, Khürelsükh Ukhnaa.
This was Putin's first visit to a country that has ratified the Rome Statute. As a signatory, Mongolia was obligated to arrest Putin but did not do so. The Mongolian government explained its refusal by citing the country's dependence on Russian energy resources.
The Ukrainian side stated that Mongolia would face consequences for refusing to arrest Putin.
President Zelenskyy also commented on Mongolia's refusal, saying that Mongolia respects a murderer more than international law.
