Zelenskyy slams US plans to cut Ukraine aid, pushes for harsher sanctions on Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Newsmax, stated that the signals regarding a possible reduction in US aid to Ukraine are "deeply unfair."
"Any signals about cutting aid or attempts to put Ukraine and Russia on the same level are deeply unfair. Russia is the aggressor. It is Russia that brought this war, and it does not want to end it," he said.
Zelenskyy is convinced the world must send a clear message to Russia: if Vladimir Putin refuses to stop the war, he will face the strongest possible sanctions.
The US is to reduce aid to Ukraine
Recently, Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth announced budget cuts while discussing future weapons supplies to Ukraine.
He said the Trump administration has a different approach to Russia's war against Ukraine. The White House believes a peace agreement through negotiations is the best solution for both sides.
In addition, the US Congress rejected an initiative for an additional $300 million in aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, Western media reported that the Trump administration was not considering continuing military aid to Ukraine. However, recently, the US took steps to sell Ukraine weapons worth $50 million or more.
