Zelenskyy says Ukraine reaches 60% domestic arms output for soldiers

Ukraine has reached a new level of weapons production during the full-scale war. Nearly 60% of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' supplies now come from domestic production, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He reported that Ukraine is establishing new joint weapons production facilities. For the first time, the country is building a factory with Denmark on Danish territory.
Zelenskyy said the plant will produce components for Ukraine's missiles and drones — weapons that have already proven highly effective.
"During this war, Ukraine has already reached the level where nearly 60 percent of the weapons in the hands of our warriors are Ukrainian-made — and they are strong weapons, many of them cutting-edge," Zelenskyy said.
The president also noted that Ukraine still has goals to achieve, including producing various air defense systems either domestically or jointly with other countries.
"We must get there. Ukraine has already proven that in weapons production, we are among the best in the world," he added.
Ukrainian weapons production
In July, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal said Ukraine's weapons production had increased 35 times since the start of the full-scale war. He also announced plans to expand it further.
That same month, Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine had agreed with Denmark to launch a joint production line for long-range drones.
Recently, the French Ambassador to Ukraine said both countries are working on producing drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which could be manufactured in either country.
Since the start of the war, Ukraine has actively expanded weapons production and continues to develop the sector.
