In particular, the president commented on Russia’s claims that Ukraine is seeking to obtain nuclear weapons from friendly countries.

"With pleasure. But I didn't have propositions, but - with pleasure," Zelenskyy emphasized.

Kremlin statements about nuclear weapons

On February 24, the Foreign Intelligence Service of the aggressor country claimed that Britain and France were allegedly trying to transfer nuclear weapons or "dirty" nuclear bombs to Kyiv. However, no evidence was provided.

At the same time, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened that the aggressor country could allegedly use nuclear weapons against the United Kingdom, France, and Ukraine "if necessary."

In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting of the so-called board of Russia’s FSB, stated that the "possible use of a nuclear component" by Ukraine against Russia was allegedly being considered.

The United Kingdom said that Putin is deliberately lying about London’s alleged intentions to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons. In doing so, he is trying to divert attention from Russia’s crimes.

China said it has no information regarding the "transfer" of nuclear weapons to Ukraine from France and Britain, as claimed by Russian officials. At the same time, Beijing reiterated that it has always insisted that nuclear weapons must not be used.

Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said he had begun confidential talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on European nuclear deterrence.
