Russian President Vladimir Putin is deliberately lying about the UK's alleged intentions to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons. Through these lies, he is trying to divert attention from Russia’s crimes, stated British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's spokesman, according to Sky News.

Starmers' spokesman said Putin was lying. In this way, the Kremlin's head plans to divert attention from "his heinous actions in Ukraine."

"There is no truth to this. You'll have seen the PM's words this morning, paying tribute to the incredible resilience of the Ukrainians… We will continue with our efforts to secure a just and lasting peace," he said.

Russia's lies about nuclear weapons

On the morning of February 24, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) issued a statement claiming that the United Kingdom and France were trying to transfer nuclear weapons, or dirty nuclear bombs, to Kyiv. No evidence was provided.

After that, former Russian President, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev erupted in hysterical threats. He claimed that Russia could allegedly use nuclear weapons against the United Kingdom, France, and Ukraine if necessary.

Later on February 24, the Russian leader himself, during a meeting of the board of the FSB of the Russian Federation, stated that the use of a nuclear component by Ukraine against Russia was allegedly possible. Once again, no evidence was provided.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has already warned that Putin has effectively started World War III. The current task, he said, is to prevent it from becoming full-scale, which is exactly what Ukraine is doing.

Zelenskyy also publicly stated that in reality, Russia is not interested in ending the war and is trying to weaken Kyiv’s negotiating position. To achieve this, the Kremlin regime is using international leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
