Zelenskyy reveals new 'record' for Russian airstrikes against Ukraine in one week
In a week, the Russian Federation set an anti-record by using over 1,100 guided bombs against Ukraine. The occupiers also launched about 20 missiles and over 560 drones, according to a Telegram message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Russia does not stop its terror against Ukraine. Daily aggression against our people, our cities, and villages. Strikes with various types of weapons. The occupiers have used over 1,100 guided aerial bombs, more than 560 strike drones, and around 20 missiles of different types against our state this week," he said.
The president thanked everyone who works day and night to protect Ukrainians from Russian strikes, providing assistance and always standing up for lives.
"We are intensively working with partners to stop the enemy, strengthen Ukraine, and provide maximum protection for our people, making this terror from the Russians impossible," Zelenskyy noted.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
Russian forces are continually launching large-scale shelling across Ukraine. In their strikes, they use drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.
It is worth noting that 1,100 aerial bombs is an anti-record for the occupiers. In comparison, a week ago, the Russian Federation used about 800 guided aerial bombs and over 500 drones against Ukraine. The occupiers also launched more than 20 missiles.
Additionally, during the night of October 27, the occupiers launched 80 drones from Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk towards Ukraine. The majority were shot down by air defense in Odesa and Kyiv regions, with a total of 41 Russian UAVs being "landed."
