Assistance from the United States of America is important not only for the promptness of providing support but also for obtaining what is most essential, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Fox News.

"As fast as possible, otherwise they will push us back. Our people know about it and Americans have to know about it. Now this is difficult, challenging period, difficult mission for us. That's why not only to get as quick as possible, also to get those things what we really need," explained the president.

Assistance from the USA

For a long time, the USA couldn't agree on a national security bill, which also included assistance to Ukraine. Discussions in the House of Representatives revolved around the Mexico border, causing the document to stall.

Only recently, House Speaker Mike Johnson initiated four separate documents proposing support for allies of the States individually. This included Kyiv, Taipei, and Tel Aviv.

On April 20, the lower chamber of Congress finally voted for assistance to Ukraine, and on the 24th, the document was considered by the Senate. On the same day, it was signed by White House Chief Joe Biden.

As noted by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, due to the delay in approving aid, Ukraine lost parts of its territory in the east, including Avdiivka.
