Zelenskyy on Orban: Not all leaders can hold negotiations, you need power for this
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is not capable of negotiating a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, citing his statement during a press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
When asked about Orban's visits to Kyiv, Moscow, and Beijing, and whether he knew Orban's next destination, Zelenskyy responded that he had no such information but suggested that Orban might visit Ukraine again.
Zelenskyy also addressed Orban's so-called peace mission, asserting that not every world leader can mediate between Ukraine and Russia.
"Not all the leaders can hold negotiations. You need to have some power for this," the president said.
Orban's visits to Ukraine and Russia
On July 2, Orban visited Kyiv and met with President Zelenskyy. During the meeting, Orban proposed a ceasefire from Ukraine before starting peace talks with Russia.
Subsequently, on July 5, Orban traveled to Moscow and met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. During this period, the EU said that it had not authorized the Hungarian Prime Minister's visit to Russia.
Orban later continued his "peace mission" by traveling to China.
