Zelenskyy office denies existence of so-called 'Witkoff plan'

Rumors about a war-freeze plan allegedly proposed by US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin are fake, according to Ukrainian presidential advisor Dmytro Lytvyn.
"It is doubtful that Witkoff or Ushakov (assistant to Russian President Yury Ushakov – ed.) had time to speak with this portal (referring to Onet – ed.). During yesterday's conversation between the leaders, nothing like that was mentioned, and Witkoff said no such things — he spoke about other matters," Lytvyn emphasized.
'Witkoff plan'
The Polish portal Onet earlier reported that during a meeting with Putin, Witkoff allegedly made a "very lucrative offer" regarding a ceasefire with Ukraine.
In particular, this so-called "plan" envisions a freeze of the war, lifting most sanctions against Russia, and de facto recognition of Russia's "territorial gains."
The report also lacks guarantees regarding NATO's non-expansion and the cessation of military aid to Ukraine.
Witkoff himself or other American officials have not yet commented on this leak.
For the record, US President Donald Trump, following Witkoff's meeting with Putin, stated that significant progress had been made. What exactly he meant remains unknown.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy suggested that Russia now appears more inclined toward a ceasefire.
