Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to hold additional consultations on the appointment of a new Head of the Office of the President after returning to Kyiv, the head of state made this statement during a press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"There will be no sensational announcements today. I want to hold additional consultations, which I have planned, and I will do this upon returning to Ukraine. My choice depends on certain factors. We are focusing more on diplomacy or other areas that are very important," the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine "has very worthy people."

Yermak’s resignation

On November 28, NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) detectives and SAP (Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office) prosecutors conducted searches at the office of Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Yermak had submitted his resignation. Shortly thereafter, Zelenskyy signed a decree dismissing him.

On the night of November 29, The New York Post reported that Yermak had decided to go to the front lines.

That same day, the former Head of the Office commented to the Financial Times, stating that he holds no grudge against Zelenskyy and adding that Zelenskyy had been his friend before this position and would remain so afterward.

The day after his dismissal, Andriy Yermak visited the Bankova (refers to Bankova Street in Kyiv, Ukraine, where the Office of the President of Ukraine is located - ed.) again to speak with the Ukrainian president.

Sources from RBC-Ukraine reported that Zelenskyy has not yet decided on the next Head of the Office of the President. Meanwhile, six candidates are being considered for the vacant position.
