Yermak hands in his resignation as Head of Office of President, Zelenskyy signs

Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President, has submitted his resignation, according to the evening address of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of the Ukrainian state noted that when all attention is focused on diplomacy and defense in the war, inner strength is necessary – the foundation of Ukraine’s external unity and its relations with the world.
According to him, in order to maintain inner strength, there should be no reasons to be distracted by anything other than defending Ukraine. Partners should also have no questions for Ukraine.
"Therefore, today – the following internal decisions. First, there will be a reboot of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The Head of the Office, Andriy Yermak, has submitted his resignation," he added.
The President thanked Yermak for always representing Ukraine’s position in negotiations "exactly as it should be." It has always been a patriotic stance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyi has dismissed Andriy Yermak from the position of Head of the Office of the President.
"To dismiss Andriy Borysovych Yermak from the position of Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine,” reads Decree No. 868/2025.

"But I want there to be no rumors or speculation. Regarding the new Head of the Office, tomorrow I will hold consultations with those who could lead this institution," Zelenskyy said.
The President also clarified that in upcoming negotiations with partners, Ukraine will be represented by Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and intelligence officials.
What is known about Yermak
Andriy Yermak was born on November 21, 1971, in Kyiv. He graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in international law. He holds a lawyer’s license and began his legal practice in 1991.
In 1997, Yermak founded the International Law Company, which specialized in intellectual property issues and represented major brands such as Disney, Pixar, Universal, and Inter Media Group. It was during his collaboration with Inter Media that Yermak met Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Later, Yermak worked for seven years as an assistant to a Member of Parliament from the Party of Regions, Elbrus Tedeev.
After Volodymyr Zelenskyy won the 2019 presidential election, Andriy Yermak became an assistant to the head of state on international policy. His responsibilities included relations with the United States and Russia, as well as participation in negotiations within the Normandy Format.
On February 11, 2020, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Yermak as Head of the Office of the President.
Midas case
Yermak submitted his resignation amid rumors that he might have appeared on so-called "tapes" involving businessman Timur Mindich.
According to law enforcement, Mindich was one of the key figures in a criminal group that received kickbacks from contractors of Energoatom.
Today, November 28, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted searches at Yermak’s residence. According to RBC-Ukraine sources, no one has been formally notified of any suspicion following the searches.
