Zelenskyy flies to Argentina after invitation to inauguration of new president

On his way to Argentina, President Zelenskyy visited Cape Verde.

"On the way to Argentina, I met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cape Verde. This meeting became the first in the history of bilateral relations between our countries," he announced.

According to the president, Cape Verde's voice is a voice of democracy that helps us on the UN stage, supporting resolutions that are crucial for Ukraine.

"I thank Prime Minister Jose Ulisses Correia e Silva for supporting the humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine and invite you to join the implementation of the Ukrainian formula for peace," he added.

Additionally, Zelenskyy informed Correia e Silva about Russia's unsuccessful attempts to obstruct civilian navigation in the Black Sea, noting that after the restart of the alternative "grain corridor," more than 7 million tons of grain have already been transported.

The leaders of the two countries also focused on the intensification of Ukraine's relations with African states, strengthening cooperation within international forums, and agreed on the schedule of bilateral contacts soon.

Zelenskyy also invited the head of the Cape Verde government to visit Ukraine.

The inauguration of the President of Argentina

At the end of November, presidential elections were held in Argentina, won by TikTok star and supporter of the United States, Javier Milei. He had already openly stated his support for Ukraine in the war with Russia. Milei also decided to abandon Argentina's membership in BRICS, of which the aggressor country is a member.

Milei has already had a phone conversation with Zelenskyн. The Ukrainian president invited him to visit Ukraine.
