Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy brought maps showing targets in Russia to his meeting with US President Donald Trump — strikes on which could force Russia to stop the war, according to a source within the Ukrainian delegation.

A source of the outlet said Zelenskyy and his team also brought several maps to the meeting with Trump this time. The source stressed that they are of great importance for the conversation with the US president.

"On the maps are the 'pain points' of Russia’s defense industry and military economy that can be pressed to force Putin to stop the war," the source said.

Meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington yesterday, October 16.

Specifically, the Ukrainian president has already met with representatives of the US defense company Lockheed Martin. The discussions focused on the possibility of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, as well as the supply of F-16 fighter jets and missiles for them.

According to Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the main topic will be expanding the list of weapons the US is ready to provide to Ukraine, including long-range Tomahawk missiles.

US President Donald Trump said he chose Hungary for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin out of respect for Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and due to the country’s stability.

In addition, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy offered his US counterpart, Donald Trump, "thousands of drones" in exchange for Tomahawk missiles.

US President Donald Trump also stated that he is not concerned about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attempts to "buy time," saying, "it's all right."
