Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders will hold a phone call with US President Donald Trump after the Coalition of the Willing meeting on Thursday, September 4, Sky News reports.

According to the Élysée Palace, several European leaders, including Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron, will call Trump tomorrow afternoon after the Coalition of the Willing meeting. The main topic of discussion will be security guarantees for Ukraine.

It is noted that around 30 leaders will review "the progress of discussions on security guarantees for Ukraine" as a "necessary prerequisite for any future peace agreement," and will also determine the next steps to continue supporting Ukraine and bringing Russia to the negotiating table.

Zelenskyy is expected to arrive in Paris this evening.

Coalition of the Willing meeting

On Thursday, September 4, leaders of several European countries will meet in Paris to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

They are gathering at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Among the participants are German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also take part in the meeting, which will be held in a hybrid format.

Macron and Starmer are set to co-chair the Coalition of the Willing meeting at the Élysée Palace.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump may be invited to join the meeting remotely.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expects concrete outcomes regarding security guarantees for Ukraine after the meeting.
