French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will co-chair the Coalition of the Willing meeting at the Élysée Palace on Thursday, September 4, Le Monde reports.

It is reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also participate in the meeting, which will take place in a hybrid format.

According to the Élysée Palace, "the heads of state and government will discuss the work on security guarantees for Ukraine carried out over the past weeks and will draw conclusions regarding Russia’s position, which continues to stubbornly reject peace."

Coalition of the Willing meeting

Previously, the media reported that leaders of several European countries would meet in Paris on Thursday, September 4, to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

Those who met with US President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18 are expected to gather in Paris at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. According to Financial Times sources, they will continue high-level negotiations.

Among them are German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
