US President Donald Trump may be invited to join the Coalition of the Willing meeting on September 4 remotely, Sky News reports.

According to a spokesperson for the German government, the countries participating in the so-called Coalition of the Willing meeting in support of Ukraine, which will take place tomorrow in Paris, are considering the option of inviting Trump to take part remotely.

"I can't pre-empt anything, but there are deliberations to dial in the US president," he said.

As is known, the meeting will be held in a hybrid format, with some participants attending in person, while others, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, will join via video link.

On Thursday, September 4, leaders of several European countries will meet in Paris to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.

The European leaders, who met with US President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18, will gather at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Among them are German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also participate in the meeting, which will be held in a hybrid format.

Macron and Starmer are set to co-chair the Coalition of the Willing meeting at the Élysée Palace.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expects concrete outcomes regarding security guarantees for Ukraine following the meeting.
