On the night of January 26, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia twice. After the second attack, a fire broke out in the city again, and damage to residential buildings was reported, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

“The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia for the second time in one night, carrying out four strikes. Private homes were damaged. A fire broke out in one of the houses, which firefighters have already brought under control,” the statement said.

Ivan Fedorov added that, according to preliminary information, no one was injured.

Attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the region

The first attack on Zaporizhzhia that night occurred around 1:00 a.m Kyiv time. A fire was reported at the site of the enemy strike, but fortunately, there were no casualties.

In addition, the enemy struck Vilnyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region that same night. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out, and residential buildings were damaged.

Russian forces regularly attack the Zaporizhzhia region and its regional center, using drones, aerial bombs, and missiles. For example, on the night of January 21, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging private homes and utility buildings.
