Zaporizhzhia under attack: Vilniansk hit by Russia, houses damaged

Russian forces attacked the city of Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region during the night of January 26. The hostile shelling caused a fire and damaged residential buildings, according to a Telegram post by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
“The enemy attacked the Zaporizhzhia region. A fire broke out in Vilniansk. Several apartment buildings were damaged - windows shattered, facades destroyed,” the statement said.

Fedorov added that, preliminarily, no one was injured.
Attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region
Russian forces regularly attack the Zaporizhzhia region using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.
On the night of January 21, the regional center was hit in another attack. The strikes damaged private homes and utility buildings.
On the night of January 22, the village of Komyshuvakha also came under enemy fire, resulting in damaged houses, debris removal, and other consequences.
Additionally, on the morning of January 17, Zaporizhzhia itself was attacked. Drone strikes caused a fire in the city.
