Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones on the morning of Saturday, January 17. A fire broke out in the city, according to the Telegram channel of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov.
"The fire visible to residents of Zaporizhzhia is the result of an enemy attack on the city," Fedorov said.
He added that the air raid alert is ongoing across the entire region.
The head of the OVA urges residents to remain in safe locations until the all-clear.

Shelling of Ukraine on January 17
As a reminder, overnight on January 17, Russia attacked Ukraine with 115 strike drones from multiple directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 96 enemy UAVs.
Hits by 16 attack drones were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at two other locations.
In the morning, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. The shelling caused a fire after the occupiers hit an infrastructure facility.
During the night, an explosion of unknown origin occurred in a high-rise building in Kharkiv. Casualties and injuries have been reported.
Explosions were also heard in Kyiv, where the capital was under attack by Russian drones.
Additionally, Russian forces struck an energy facility in Odesa region. A fire broke out and damage was reported.
In Bucha district of Kyiv region, 56,000 homes were left without electricity due to a Russian attack.
