Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia again during the night of January 21, resulting in new damage in the city, according to a Telegram post by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

Throughout the night, Fedorov reported that the region faced threats from ballistic missiles and guided bombs, and later from drones.

While tracking drones over Zaporizhzhia, Fedorov also reported the operation of air defense systems, suggesting that the damage was caused specifically by a drone strike.

“The enemy struck Zaporizhzhia once again. Private homes and outbuildings were damaged,” the report stated.

Attacks on Zaporizhzhia

Russian forces have been striking Zaporizhzhia almost continuously, using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

For example, on the night of January 18, the enemy attacked the regional center of Zaporizhzhia with groups of strike drones, causing a fire in a residential area.

Additionally, on January 20, the city was attacked again, resulting in damage to private homes and another fire.
