The White House denied reports about the potential signing of a mineral deal between Ukraine and the US in the coming hours, calling the information inaccurate, according to senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich.
She noted that, according to sources in the White House, the information about the imminent signing of a minerals deal between Ukraine and the US is not true.
"There's been no movements on this yet," Heinrich wrote.
Earlier on Tuesday, Reuters reported that Ukraine and the US were expected to sign an agreement on the distribution of profits from minerals extraction in the coming hours.
According to the agency, President Donald Trump might announce this during his speech to Congress on Tuesday evening, March 4 (at 4:00 AM on March 5, Kyiv time).

The framework agreement between Ukraine and the US involves the creation of an investment fund jointly managed by both countries. Under the agreement, Ukraine will be required to contribute 50% of its profits from the sale of mineral resources to the fund.
After an emotional clash in the White House on February 28, US President Donald Trump suspended military aid to Ukraine on March 4. The restrictions primarily affected air defense systems, ammunition, and armored vehicles, including those weapons previously allocated by former President Joe Biden.
Trump and members of his team indicated that the supply of weapons would resume when Ukraine is ready to renew peace talks to end the war.
US Vice President JD Vance expressed his desire for Kyiv to return to the negotiation table, noting that the war cannot go on indefinitely.
President Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is striving to engage in peace talks as soon as possible to achieve a reliable peace.
