When could Russia strike Europe? Ukrainian intelligence predicts

Russia has not changed its plans. The Kremlin wants full control over Ukraine and influence over the post-Soviet countries, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Oleh Ivashchenko says in an interview with Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
According to Ivashchenko, the question is no longer whether Russia is "possibly" preparing an attack, but rather a matter of when and who will be next.
"Poland, the Baltic countries, Northern Europe - are at risk. Our analysts no longer ask whether Russia will dare to attack other countries. The questions are different now. When and from where?" the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine said.
Ivashchenko explained that forecasts from Ukrainian and European intelligence coincide - after the end of hostilities, Russia will need 2 to 4 years to restore its combat capability. In his opinion, if sanctions are lifted, the rearmament process of the aggressor's state will go much faster.
"That is, 2 to 4 years after the war ends, Russia will be technically ready for new aggression - this time against Europe. Right now, we all see their hybrid game: to divide allies, reduce support for Ukraine, and influence decisions through Hungary. This is the political part of the war. We understand this," the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine noted.
Putin is preparing for war with NATO
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine informed that a Bundeswehr report stated the Russian authorities are preparing for a large-scale war against NATO. Apparently, the Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to use force to achieve his goals. Later, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said that Russia might launch a new attack in a few years. Nausėda believes Lithuania has four to five years to prepare.
In early May, we wrote that Russia increased surveillance of NATO military activity in the Baltic Sea. The Russians are also conducting shows of force and provocations.
In addition, the Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces, Karsten Breuer, has ordered the German military to be fully equipped with weapons and other materials by 2029.
