What Ukrainian Zinchenko told fans after signing with Nottingham

On Nottingham's official Instagram, Ukrainian national team footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko addressed fans for the first time after moving from London's Arsenal to Nottingham Forest, another Premier League club.

The corresponding video was published on the social media of the Ukrainian's new club. In it, Zinchenko said:
"Hi, guys. I'm very happy to join Nottingham Forest. So excited for the season ahead. Can't wait to meet you all there. Come on, Forest!"

For Zinchenko, Nottingham will be the third English club in his career.
In the summer of 2016, the footballer was bought by English Manchester City for €2.25 million. He spent his first year on loan at Dutch PSV. The next five seasons, he played for the Citizens.
Under Pep Guardiola's management, the Ukrainian won four league titles, the FA Cup, the Community Shield, and four EFL Cups.
In 2022, he moved to London's Arsenal for €35 million, where he initially became one of the leaders. But, later, he began losing positions and a place in the squad. In the 2024/25 season, he played 23 matches for the Gunners in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
On the last day of the 2025 summer transfer window, the Ukrainian moved to Nottingham. He will play for this team until the end of the 2025/26 season on loan.
What is known about Nottingham
Nottingham Forest represents the city of West Bridgford in Nottinghamshire in the Premier League. Founded in 1865, it is one of the oldest clubs in England.
The club is among the top twenty most successful in the history of English football. The brightest period in Forest's history came under coach Brian Clough, who led the team from 1975 to 1993.
It was under his leadership that the Reds reached their greatest heights:
- Twice won the European Cup (1979, 1980),
- Won the UEFA Super Cup (1979),
- Became champions of England (1978),
- Won the FA Charity Shield (1978),
- Won the EFL Cup four times (1978, 1979, 1989, 1990).
After a long period in the lower divisions, Nottingham Forest returned to the Premier League in 2022 for the first time since 1999.
In the 2024/25 season, the club finished 7th in the Premier League, securing a place in the main stage of the 2025/26 Europa League.
