Lunin out of Ukraine squad: Rebrov calls up replacement urgently

There has been a forced change in the Ukrainian national team squad. Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrii Lunin has left the team, reports the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association.
Bushchan replaces Lunin
The 26-year-old Real Madrid goalkeeper sustained an injury and will not be able to help the national team in the September World Cup 2026 qualifiers against France and Azerbaijan.
He was urgently replaced in the squad by 31-year-old Heorhii Bushchan, who plays for the Saudi club Al-Shabab.
This means that three goalkeepers are currently preparing for the upcoming matches with the blue-and-yellow team. Besides Bushchan, these are Anatolii Trubin from Portuguese club Benfica and Dmytro Riznyk from Shakhtar.
