NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the North Atlantic Alliance is currently strong enough to deter Russia from attacking the military bloc, according to Reuters.

Mark Rutte expressed confidence that if a conflict between Russia and NATO were to occur now, the Alliance would emerge victorious. He stressed the importance of maintaining this advantage in the future.

"We will win every fight with Russia if they attack us now, and we have to make sure in two, four, six years that same is still the case," he said.

NATO-Russia war threat

In September, Dutch Defence Minister Ruben Brekelmans stated that Russia is preparing for war with NATO by 2030.

Johanna Wadesfuhl warned that a Russian attack on a NATO country could occur even after a peace agreement with Ukraine.

German military officials also recently assessed that Russia might attack NATO members within two to three years, with Germany positioned at the epicenter as a key Alliance member.

Norway’s Chief of Defence, Eirik Kristoffersen, said his country does not rule out a Russian invasion of parts of Norwegian territory, potentially to protect Moscow’s nuclear assets in the High North.

Recent large-scale exercises in Estonia revealed serious NATO weaknesses: considering drone deployment, the Alliance was found unprepared for next-generation warfare and was outmatched.
