'We have clear position': Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs responds to Scholz's peace plan
Ukraine has a clear stance on ending the war with Russia — the Global Peace Summit. Other "peace initiatives" are not being considered, states the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tykhyi, during a briefing in response to a question from an RBC-Ukraine correspondent.

The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is allegedly preparing a peace plan to end Russia's war against Ukraine, which would allow the aggressor country to retain previously seized Ukrainian territories.
The newspaper, citing parliamentary sources, notes that Scholz, along with some of his party members, is working on a sort of Minsk agreements, which would involve the possibility of transferring parts of Ukrainian territory to Moscow.
Reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, many different "peace initiatives" regarding the end of the war in Ukraine have been proposed. From time to time, various countries offer platforms for negotiations.
"We have a clear position — there is the Peace Summit process. We invite all countries that want to contribute to participate in this process," Tykhyi noted.
He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs monitors various reports, works with partners, and explains to them that Ukraine has a peace formula process.
"Ukraine seeks peace like no other country in the world does. Recently, only signals from Russia have indicated that they do not want to talk about peace. As Zelenskyy said, joint pressure can force Russia to choose peace. This is the focus of our work," the Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz recently stated that Germany will do everything possible to support Ukraine. The time has come to discuss how to achieve peace as quickly as possible.
