On Tuesday, July 29, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the territory of one of the training units of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The attack resulted in both fatalities and injuries, according to the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the statement, despite implemented safety measures, losses among personnel could not be fully avoided. As of 9:30 p.m., three soldiers were confirmed dead and 18 wounded.

"Emergency services are working at the scene. The injured are receiving all necessary medical assistance without delay. We extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the fallen," the statement reads.

The Ground Forces also added that a commission had been established and an official investigation launched to clarify all the circumstances and causes of the loss of personnel. The commission will be led by the head of the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"If it is determined that the deaths and injuries were caused by the actions or negligence of responsible officials, those individuals will be held accountable," the Ground Forces added.

Additionally, the command of the Armed Forces and Ground Forces is implementing extra safety measures to protect the lives and health of soldiers during Russian missile and air attacks on training grounds and centers.
