Residents of nine cities and three districts in Crimea will be left without water supply on July 7, according to the Crimea Water utility.

The outages will affect:

  • Parts of Simferopol,

  • Feodosia,

  • Saky,

  • Armiansk,

  • Yany Kapu (Krasnoperekopsk),

  • Kerch,

  • Yevpatoria,

  • Dzhankoi,

  • Bilohirsk.

The local authorities say the disruptions are due to emergency repair work.

Overall, not only city residents but also people living in nearby villages, as well as the Bilohirsk, Kurman, and Dzhankoi districts, will be left without a water supply.

Earlier, Saky's local administration head, Yuliya Predybailo, said the city had been left without water because of a power outage.

At the same time, satellite images recorded fires at the Saky electrical substation and the railway station.

Since July 1, water supply schedules have been in effect in villages in southern Crimea. Moreover, water is being delivered by tanker trucks in Yevpatoria.

In the village of Verkhnia Kutuzivka in the Yalta district, water is supplied only from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Earlier, similar restrictions were introduced in the village of Luchyste, where water is available on some streets for only four hours in the evening.

The reasons given for the restrictions include power supply problems and low water levels in reservoirs.

On July 6, Crimea experienced a total blackout.

Earlier, Ukrainian forces attacked a Russian oil tanker and an oil depot on the peninsula.
