During the night of July 6, Deep Strike units of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces successfully struck a Russian Volgoneft-class oil tanker and an oil terminal at the port of Kerch.

At the time of the strike, the Russian tanker was operating in the Sea of Azov. According to the Special Operations Forces, it is an important part of the enemy's fuel logistics network.

Russia actively uses such vessels to transport petroleum products between oil refineries and deliver fuel.

In addition, the Special Operations Forces once again struck the oil terminal at the port of Kerch in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The military noted that the enemy fuel depot plays a key role in supplying petroleum products across the occupied peninsula.

"The terminal handles the receipt, storage, and transfer of oil between the railway network, storage tanks, and tankers. The results of the strike are being clarified," the Special Operations Forces said.

The military said the operations were carried out as part of Ukraine's ongoing long-range campaign targeting Russia's oil industry.

As previously reported by RBC-Ukraine, Ukraine's Defense Forces also struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg.

In addition, Ukrainian troops hit one of Russia's largest oil refineries.

The Special Operations Forces also recently released footage of strikes on a railway crossing over the North Crimean Canal.
