Ukrainian drones strike oil terminal in St. Petersburg

On the night of July 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked an oil terminal in St. Petersburg. A massive fire is raging at the facility, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Special Operations Forces.
“Last night, our Ukrainian long-range sanctions against Russia over this war reached targets near St. Petersburg. Ukraine's Defense Forces struck port oil infrastructure that generates revenue for Russia's war,” Zelenskyy said.
There were also strikes on the port in Kronstadt, which is an important military target. The distance from Ukraine’s state border is over 850 kilometers.
The Special Operations Forces clarified that a fire is raging at the facility as a result of strikes by several drones.

The St. Petersburg oil terminal is one of the key Baltic hubs for the export of Russian petroleum products. It facilitates the dispatch of tankers to Africa, the Middle East, and other regions. This trade is a major source of revenue for the enemy’s military budget.
Drone attack on St. Petersburg
A series of explosions rocked St. Petersburg last night, triggering fires. Local social media reported strikes in the area of the oil terminal and port infrastructure.
Leningrad region governor Aleksandr Drozdzenko announced a state of emergency over the drone threat.
