A series of explosions occurred in St. Petersburg, fires broke out, and local public channels reported hits in the area of the oil terminal and port infrastructure, according to a post of OSINT public channels on Telegram, in particular Exilenova+.
Hits were reported in St. Petersburg. On the night of July 4, a series of explosions occurred in St. Petersburg. According to local Telegram channels, the oil port area was hit by several strikes.
It is reported that a fire broke out after striking the oil terminal's territory. In addition, Russian public channels report large-scale strikes on port infrastructure.
Authorities declared a drone threat
The governor of Leningrad Oblast, Alexander Drozdenko, announced the introduction of a danger regime due to drones.
According to him, due to the situation in the region, a reduction in mobile internet speed is also possible.

Recent attacks on Russian oil refineries
On Thursday, the night of July 2, Ukrainian forces put the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region out of operation. The facility is considered one of the largest fuel suppliers for Moscow and plays an important role in supplying the Russian market with petroleum products.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine also struck targets on Russian territory, hitting an oil refinery in Ufa and a defense-industrial complex enterprise in Penza. The attack was carried out on the night of July 1.
The Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces reported that since the beginning of 2026, the intensity of strikes on targets in Russia's operational and strategic depth has increased by 1,150%. In the past month alone, Deep Strike units carried out 2,359 combat missions at distances of up to 2,000 kilometers, hitting 172 targets of Russia's military-industrial and fuel-energy complexes.
