NATO allies have never shared intelligence as quickly, effectively, or across such a wide range of topics as they do now, stated a senior NATO official.

He noted that the United States remains by far the largest provider of intelligence within the North Atlantic Alliance. US intelligence agencies are sharing information more actively than ever before.

"I have seen no signs of a slowdown in intelligence sharing, neither from the US nor from our European colleagues within NATO's intelligence community. On the contrary, everything is happening the exact opposite. We are all increasing our efforts, including the United States," emphasized the NATO representative.

The official highlighted that relationships between US intelligence, its allies, and NATO as a whole remain based on trust and close cooperation.

He also noted that the United States has committed to providing significant intelligence support as part of possible security guarantees for Ukraine.

"I am pleased that the United States has committed to providing substantial intelligence support for any potential security guarantees for Ukraine," he added.

Pause in intelligence sharing

At the end of February this year, during his visit to the White House, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a disagreement with US President Donald Trump. Following this, Trump suggested that Zelenskyy was unwilling to end the war with Russia.

Against this backdrop, the US decided to pause arms deliveries to Ukraine. Intelligence sharing between the countries was also temporarily suspended. Western media reported that the pause in intelligence sharing had the greatest impact on Ukrainian operations in the Kursk region.

However, in recent days, the Financial Times reported that over several months, the US has been assisting Ukraine in striking Russian energy targets. This coordinated effort aims to weaken the Russian economy and push Putin toward the negotiating table.
