Warnings about Russian ballistic missile launches are part of the intelligence the United States provides to Ukraine, according to presidential adviser Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.

The adviser noted that rumors have recently emerged in the media about US threats to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine. He said the United States provides Ukraine with various types of intelligence.

"One component of this information is alerts about ballistic missile launches (or preparations for launches). This information is primarily needed by civilians so people have time to reach shelters," he added.

Beskrestnov said he does not believe the United States could leave Ukraine without such vital information, since the survival of Ukrainian civilians is also at stake.

Rumors of US threats

As reported, US President Donald Trump recently said he had reached an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase supplies of Russian diesel to the US and global markets.

Amid this, Axios, citing a Ukrainian official, reported that US representatives had threatened during talks to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine if its Defense Forces continued striking Russian oil refineries. A US official, however, denied making any such threat.

Notably, on October 11, Trump announced an "energy truce" between Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine said it was ready to support the initiative, but Russia continued attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure. On October 12, Russian forces struck six Ukrainian energy facilities.
