The US House of Representatives, by a majority vote, blocked efforts to stop military aid to Ukraine, thereby supporting the continued provision of such assistance.

This was reported by Republican Congressman Don Bacon on X.

The decision was supported by 353 members of the House, while 76 voted against it.

"This morning the House overwhelmingly voted to continue providing military support to Ukraine by a 353-76 vote," he said.

It is worth noting that the relevant bill was introduced by Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene from the state of Georgia. Amendment No. 116 proposed a ban on the use of any funds for aid to Ukraine.

Stopping US military aid to Ukraine

In early July, several Western media outlets reported that the US had halted shipments of precision munitions and missiles for the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

The administration of US President Donald Trump stated that the decision was made to reassess the quantity of weapons in stock due to a reduction in their supply.

According to media reports, the "pause" was allegedly caused by a shortage of interceptor missiles for the Patriot missile system. The final order to stop providing weapons to Ukraine, according to reports, was given by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. He did not inform Congress or Trump about this decision.

After a phone call with President Zelenskyy, the US president announced an increase in arms shipments to help defend Ukraine against Russian attacks. Trump also announced a new military aid package worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
