US to boost weapon shipments to Ukraine, Trump announces

The US will provide Ukraine with defensive weapons as part of military aid, states US President Donald Trump during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We're going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They're getting hit very hard, now. They're getting hit very hard. We're going to have to send more weapons, defensive weapons, primarily,” he stated.
The American leader also expressed deep disappointment that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not stopping. Trump emphasized that people are dying.
He said angrily that he was disappointed that President Putin had not stopped, adding that the Kremlin leader apparently had no intention of ending the war.
Will the US stop sending aid to Ukraine?
On July 1, media reports emerged that the US had partially halted military aid shipments to Ukraine. However, Trump assured that Washington continues to supply weapons to Ukraine.
According to the State Department, Kyiv received advance notice from Washington about the aid suspension.
At the same time, on July 8, the White House clarified that the suspension is only temporary, as the Pentagon needs time to review the process and ensure that aid to other countries aligns with Washington’s interests.
