US aid to Ukraine

After the presidential election, the US administration began announcing military aid packages to Ukraine more frequently. This shift was prompted by the victory of Donald Trump in the elections, who may stop supplying weapons to Ukrainian defenders.

As US Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured, President Joe Biden plans to spend all the funds allocated by Congress for military aid to Ukraine by the end of his term in office.

Specifically, on December 2, the Pentagon announced a military aid package for Ukraine, which included weapons worth $725 million.

The package included ammunition for NASAMS air defense systems, ammunition for HIMARS, drones, landmines, and more.

Earlier, Blinken emphasized that NATO countries would not allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to use winter as a weapon against Ukraine. This statement came after Russia's massive strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
