The US and Iran have agreed on the text of a potential peace agreement. The end of the war is already very close, according to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Twitter (X), as well as comments by US President Donald Trump to Axios.

He said that those trying to sabotage the peace agreement between the US and Iran are running an "incessant misinformation campaign."

"Setting aside the noise, we can confirm that a final, agreed upon text of the peace deal has been reached and Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps. Peace has never been this close as it is now," he added.

What Trump says

According to the US leader, he still believes the agreement with Iran could be signed on June 13–15.

He also praised a post by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who denied claims that Iran would immediately receive billions of dollars in frozen assets after the deal is signed.

US–Iran agreement

US President Donald Trump only yesterday, on June 11, was planning to carry out another powerful strike on Iran.

However, at the last moment, he decided to cancel the attack. The US leader also stated that Iran had fully abandoned nuclear weapons and that the war with it was coming to an end.

The president suggested that, already over the weekend, on June 13–14, the US could sign a peace agreement with Iran. According to him, the signing is expected to take place in Europe. He also said he would not attend the event in person, with US Vice President J. D. Vance being sent instead.
