Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) inflicted further losses on the Russian army in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region, according to the commander of the SBS, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi.

Buk-M1

Near the settlement of Lyubymivka in the temporarily occupied part of the Luhansk region, the Ptakhy Madiara (Madyar’s Birds) unit detected and destroyed a Buk-M1 surface-to-air missile system. This Soviet-made system is designed to engage aerial targets, including those flying at low altitudes.

"Which, however, did not save the system from an unforgettable final encounter with a freedom-loving Ukrainian 'Bird' carrying a 60–100 kg warhead," said the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi.

Fuel tankers and Russian army depots

In addition to the air defense system, fuel tankers were destroyed in the area of Shchotove. In Valianivske, warehouses containing material and technical supplies of Russian forces were also eliminated.

The operation was carried out in coordination with the Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense recently claimed the "full capture" of the Luhansk region.

However, the Third Assault Brigade refuted this claim: its units continue to hold positions in the region and have repelled 144 assault attempts there over the past six months.

In March, Ukrainian forces systematically destroyed enemy infrastructure in the Luhansk region. On March 30, a large-scale fire broke out at a metallurgical plant in occupied Alchevsk — Russian air defense failed to respond.

Earlier, on March 26, border guards from the Feniks unit destroyed a rare mobile radio relay communication station R-416G-MS, worth around $600,000, which had been providing digital communication between the Russian front line and command posts.
